Booking date and time is confirmed only after the receipt of retainer fee (non- refundable and non-transferable) in cleared funds and signed contract. Any change to an agreed quote must be notified in writing to Mika immediately. A revised contract with updated quote will be issued which must be separately confirmed by you within 24 hours including any retainer fee adjustment. If the location/ ready time is changed from the contact form to a different address/or a different time the travel fee/ early morning fee will be revised and added in the balance amount. A waiting fee of $50/half hour per artist will be charged in case the client is not available to the artist at the agreed start time. This will not only help us manage our next bookings better, but also help you and your party members get ready on-time. Full payment of a wedding trial is due on the day of the trial. All add on services are the responsibility of the person signing the contract. The final payment including the charges for add on services are to be collected from the person signing the contract. Trial includes one look which is decided by the client and the artist. In case the client decides to change the look halfway or try another look, the same will be treated as additional service which will incur additional cost. Similarly, in case there is no trial done, any changes requested halfway or another look can be done at additional cost and time permitting. All photos be taken by any artists or the photographer on the day of the wedding can be used for promotional use (e.g social media, portfolio, website). You can however request that no photos be taken if you do not want your photo used. Once again, I cannot stress enough on the importance of following the prep steps (will be sent to you later but, much in advance of the event day!) for the bride/bridal party. In case the prep steps are not followed, the artist will not be responsible for achieving the desired look. Change of booking date can be accommodated only due to government mandated lockdown. The client to let Mika know about the revised date as soon as the new date is available to avoid disappointment. A new contract with the revised date will need to be signed. If the booking has moved to the next calendar year, the contract will be issued at new published rates. The client may wish to not reschedule or sign the contract at the new rates by cancelling the booking and forfeiting the retainer fee paid. The retainer fee will be refunded only if Mika does not have any availability for the requested date. Under no other circumstances other than government mandated lockdown, will the booking date be changed. The retainer fee will be forfeited by the client to compensate Mika for the lost opportunity. The contract is for a fixed amount which cannot be reduced once signed i.e. services cannot be removed from the contract. Payment Terms All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars. Non-refundable and non-transferable retainer fees (50% of the total contract amount) - Accepted methods of payment include: Cash, Cheque and Interac e-Transfer only. Balance remaining (50% of the total contract amount) - Accepted methods of payment include: Cash and Interac e-Transfer* only. Cheque will NOT be accepted on the event day. Any adjustment to the final cost resulting from a change to an initial quote will be accounted for in the balance of the payment due on the booking date. * If paying your balance with Interac email money transfer the funds must be received a minimum of 24 hours prior to your booking date or Mika reserves the sole right to cancel your booking. If the booking includes more than one individuals, the person signing the contract is responsible for total payment in full. The artist will not collect payments from each individual member on which service is being performed. If Mika is not present on the day of the booking all balance due has to be sent 24 hours before the event date as cash is not an option on the day of. Cancellation Terms If you cancel your booking: Retainer fee is non-refundable and non-transferable once received. If Mika is obliged to cancel your booking: Every effort will be made to provide a replacement makeup artist of equivalent ability and cost. No guarantee is offered or implied as regards the ability or availability of a replacement makeup artist. If a replacement artist accepts the assignment, your deposit will be passed onto that artist. If a replacement makeup artist cannot be provided your deposit will be refunded in full. Indemnity The client agrees to hold harmless Mika Chaudhry and her associates from any liability from allergic reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to a client.
